Tendering and Bidding Manager - Oil & Gas

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Tendering and Bidding Manager specializing in Oil & Gas EPC projects based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This role leads end-to-end management of preparing, submitting, and negotiating tenders and proposals to secure major contracts in the sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the preparation and submission of bids and proposals, ensuring alignment with project scope and technical requirements.
• Analyze tender documentation including technical specifications and commercial criteria to ensure competitiveness and compliance.
• Formulate pricing models, cost assessments, and commercial proposals in collaboration with engineering, procurement, finance, and projects teams.
• Engage with clients, consultants, and subcontractors throughout the tendering cycle to clarify details and negotiate favorable terms.
• Perform risk assessments and evaluate contractual conditions while abiding by corporate policies and risk frameworks.
• Supervise the creation of technical and financial bid submissions, guaranteeing quality and adherence to timelines.
• Monitor market opportunities and forthcoming tenders, maintain client relationship databases, and cultivate business connections to maximize bid success.
• Advise senior management on industry trends, competitor analysis, and potential business development initiatives.
• Maintain organized documentation, records, and correspondence related to all tendering and bidding activities.
• Lead, train, and motivate the tendering team to ensure high efficiency and collaborative performance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering combined with Business Administration or a related field; Master’s degree considered a plus.
• At least 15 years’ experience in tendering, bidding, or contracts within the Oil & Gas sector, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated success in securing large-scale EPC project contracts.
• Comprehensive understanding of tendering protocols, contract types (such as FIDIC, EPC, LSTK), and commercial frameworks in the Middle East.
• Exceptional negotiation skills along with strong client and communication abilities.
• Proficient with MS Office suite, tendering software, and cost estimation tools.
• Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
