Telecommunications Specialist (Remote, Contract)

Role Summary

Seeking a seasoned Telecommunications Specialist to join on a contract basis remotely. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining telecom systems and infrastructure to ensure robust and efficient communication networks.

Primary Duties

• Design, deploy, and enhance telecommunications networks including VoIP, SIP, and PSTN technologies.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams for seamless integration of telecom solutions within existing IT frameworks.
• Conduct network monitoring, perform diagnostics, and resolve issues to uphold high network uptime and reliability.
• Configure and maintain telecommunications equipment such as routers, switches, and gateways.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation for network setups, policies, and operational procedures aimed at both internal and external audiences.

Required Expertise

• At least 3 years of experience in telecommunications engineering or related disciplines.
• Strong command of VoIP, SIP, and PSTN protocols and infrastructures.
• In-depth understanding of network design, routing, and switching methodologies.
• Hands-on experience managing telecom hardware including routers, switches, and gateways.
• Proficiency with tools used for network monitoring and diagnostics.
• Capability to troubleshoot intricate network challenges and deliver effective solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with both technical specialists and non-technical stakeholders.
