Technician - Central Service (Full Time, Evenings 11:30am-8pm)

Job Overview

Under the direction of the Materials Manager, this role involves managing inventory by entering data into the Materials Management System, preparing medical supply carts for different hospital units each day, and assembling specialty carts and trays according to daily assignments. The position also includes collecting patient charges and distributing equipment as designated. The technician provides critical support to various departments and procedural areas with materials management requests.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inventory operations and update stock information using the Materials Management System.
• Assemble and replenish general and specialty medical supply carts and trays for hospital units.
• Collect patient charges and handle equipment distribution as per daily tasks.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory control through cycle counting and appropriate distribution processes in the storeroom.
• Provide assistance across departments with material requests falling under materials management activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental goals.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma preferred.
• Experience in central distribution or mailroom operations is advantageous.
• Must obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
