System & Network Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled System & Network Engineer to manage and support our virtualization platforms, Windows Server environments, and enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring system availability, conducting troubleshooting, implementing upgrades, and collaborating with internal teams and vendors.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain virtualization environments, including Hyper-V and VMware platforms.
• Administer Windows Server systems encompassing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Design, implement, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VPNs, and firewall network infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance to maintain high availability and reliability of IT services.
• Execute system upgrades, apply patches, and perform regular maintenance tasks.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues efficiently.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and changes accurately.
• Work closely with internal teams and external vendors for various project implementations and support efforts.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Between 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in system and network administration roles.
• Proficiency with virtualization technologies like Hyper-V and/or VMware.
• Experience managing Windows Server services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Strong background with network infrastructure components, including switching, routing, and firewall management.

Preferred Skills and Certifications

• Experience with Zscaler security solutions (ZIA/ZPA).
• Familiarity with Network Access Control solutions such as Cisco ISE or FortiNAC.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure cloud services including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), networking, and identity management.
• Understanding of security best practices and relevant frameworks.
• Professional certifications related to Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, or Azure technologies are advantageous.
