About the Role

Kā te Rama Switched On Group seeks skilled suspended ceiling installers to join their Christchurch-based team. This role involves working on a variety of commercial fitouts and large-scale construction assignments both within Christchurch and occasionally across the South Island, providing diverse project experiences.

Job Responsibilities

• Transform architectural plans and drawings into precise, high-quality finished suspended ceiling installations.
• Install suspended ceiling systems to exacting standards, whether independently or directing a site crew.
• Apply knowledge of seismic requirements accurately to ensure compliance and safety in installations.
• Promote and contribute to a safe, well-managed work environment with a team-focused attitude.
• Inspect completed work meticulously to maintain high craftsmanship standards and take pride in the outcome.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of five years' experience installing suspended ceilings, primarily in commercial construction settings.
• Strong comprehension of ceiling systems and industry best practices to guarantee quality outputs.
• Ability to confidently interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Attention to detail combined with pride in delivering excellent workmanship.
• Positive team player with effective problem-solving skills and initiative-taking confidence on site.
• Preferably holds relevant trade qualifications or training.
• Must have own tools and dependable transportation.
