Supply Chain Manager

Role Overview

This position focuses on leading and developing a top-tier Supply Chain team encompassing Sales & Operations Planning, Procurement, Purchasing, Logistics, Scheduling, and Material Planning. The goal is to implement digitally advanced processes that enhance efficiency, transparency, cost savings, and supplier performance throughout the supply chain lifecycle from quote to cash. The leader will drive continuous innovation and change management efforts across the Supply Chain function and organization. Travel requirements include up to 25% domestic and international travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and mentor teams in supply chain disciplines including planning, procurement, logistics, and scheduling.
• Design and execute supply chain strategies aligned with corporate goals.
• Lead Sales & Operations Planning processes to balance demand, capacity, and inventory management.
• Manage supplier negotiations, contract oversight, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Supervise logistics, warehousing, and distribution, ensuring regulatory compliance and cost-efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts using Lean, Six Sigma, and digital automation tools.
• Establish and monitor key performance metrics related to supply chain operations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, quality, and finance teams to meet operational objectives.
• Develop risk mitigation and contingency plans to ensure supply continuity.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Over 8 years of progressive experience within supply chain roles, including at least 5 years in procurement management.
• Experience in complex production environments such as manufacturing, aerospace, defense, automotive, or battery industries preferred.
• Strong competency in supplier relations, contract management, and cost control programs.
• Demonstrated leadership managing teams and multi-departmental projects.
• Proficient understanding of FAR/DFAR regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree (MBA or supply chain specialization) is advantageous.
• Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders.

Technical Skill Set

• Experience working with S&OP, MRP, and ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NAV, QAD, M3.
• Expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and inventory optimization.
• Strong abilities in supply chain risk analysis and financial evaluation including total cost of ownership.
• Advanced capabilities in Excel and data analytics to support decision-making.

Planning and Inventory Oversight

• Lead demand forecasting, materials planning, and inventory control functions.
• Optimize inventory levels to ensure operational readiness and control working capital.
• Track inventory turnover rates and safety stock metrics.

Logistics and Distribution Management

• Manage transport logistics, warehousing, and distribution activities efficiently.
• Focus on improving freight cost efficiency and compliance with shipping regulations.
• Oversee import/export coordination when required.

Leadership and Continuous Development

• Foster a culture emphasizing accountability, teamwork, safety, and ongoing improvement.
• Conduct performance reviews and support employee training and succession planning.
• Apply data-driven improvements leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, and automation technologies.
