Supply Chain Manager Assistant

About the Role

Mikron Automation, a global leader in advanced automation solutions, seeks a Supply Chain Manager Assistant to contribute to seamless procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier performance enhancement. The role is integral to ensuring continuous supply chain operations and improving related processes within the Automation division.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee supply chain, inventory, purchasing, and logistics functions to maintain uninterrupted business operations.
• Analyze customer demands and collaborate with internal partners to secure steady supply levels.
• Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels through effective procurement management.
• Manage warehouse and material handling processes efficiently.
• Introduce and implement improvements in purchasing, logistics, and overall supply chain workflows.
• Handle supplier relations encompassing sourcing, qualification, evaluation, contract negotiations, and audits.
• Assess suppliers’ performance using delivery and quality metrics.
• Identify sourcing opportunities, including international suppliers, focusing on cost reductions.
• Assist customer service teams with purchasing activities.
• Take part in monthly material planning and operational output discussions.
• Willingness to travel abroad for supplier visits and audits when necessary.

Candidate Profile

• Diploma or equivalent credential in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or related areas.
• 3-4 years of relevant experience within industrial purchasing, procurement, or supply chain settings.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin languages.
• Strong skills in supplier management, negotiation, and data analysis.
• Experience in procurement, sourcing, inventory control, and logistics operations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent communication abilities and strong stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while juggling multiple priorities and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives.
