About the Role
Be part of an exciting new launch in Galway! IKEA is opening a brand-new Planning & Order Point, and we're hiring enthusiastic Store Assistants to join the initial team. Enjoy a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment where each day offers fresh challenges and opportunities. In this role, you'll greet customers warmly, assist them in locating products, process orders, and operate checkouts, ensuring excellent customer service across the store.
Daily Responsibilities
- Create an engaging shopping experience by supporting customers throughout various departments.
- Show genuine interest in our product range and their design stories, sharing this knowledge with customers.
- Maintain your assigned areas in a clean, organized, and fully stocked state; ensure all products are priced and attractively displayed for easy shopping.
- Handle some products that may require heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a positive attitude, enjoy multitasking, and can work independently without supervision.
- Adopt a customer-first approach, valuing versatility across different store areas to support and engage customers effectively.
- Be comfortable with computers and technology.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills with attention to detail to efficiently manage time and tasks.

- Position starts in August 2026.
- Earn a competitive hourly wage of €15.70.
- Work 39 hours per week, 5 days weekly, including alternate weekends.
