Job Role

The Steel Structural Design Engineer will take charge of designing and analyzing steel frameworks for construction projects predominantly located in the UAE. This full-time on-premise position includes preparing detailed structural calculations, designing steel connections, and reviewing shop drawings along with fabrication details. The engineer will collaborate with project managers, architects, and construction teams to ensure all designs comply with safety regulations, client specifications, and relevant standards.

Daily responsibilities consist of conducting structural analyses, optimizing designs for cost-efficiency and ease of construction, addressing technical challenges, and supporting quality assurance throughout all project phases. Additionally, the role entails participation in design reviews, maintaining comprehensive documentation, and actively engaging in efforts to enhance design procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient knowledge in Structural Analysis and Structural Engineering applicable to steel structures.
• Strong foundation in Civil Engineering principles with familiarity of related building codes and standards.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Experience in designing steel structures within construction or contracting sectors, preferably within UAE or the GCC region.
• Competent in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and technical report writing skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary site teams.
• Background in facade engineering is advantageous.
