Job Overview

Serve as an advanced technical specialist responsible for creating and sustaining programming solutions tailored to meet the needs of both internal and external clients. Lead the entire cycle of statistical programming projects and provide expert knowledge within the Statistical Programming team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and document programs for producing statistical tables, figures, and listing summaries.
• Develop analysis databases (derived datasets) and handle data transfers for clients.
• Manage and implement database quality control checks.
• Integrate data from multiple studies or data sources into unified databases.
• Create comprehensive programming documentation including detailed plans and specifications.
• Collaborate with clients and independently drive project solutions within teams and the department.
• Develop, apply, and validate new process technologies, macros, and applications.
• Act as statistical team lead for individual projects under supervision.
• Interpret the project's Scope of Work, estimate progress, manage any out-of-scope tasks, and potentially handle budgeting, resource planning, revenue, and forecasting for single studies.
• Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to junior or new team members.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, or
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or
• An equivalent blend of education, training, and work experience.
• Familiarity with statistics, programming, and clinical drug development processes.
• Proficient with Base SAS, SAS/STAT, and SAS Macro Language.
• Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Adept at managing multiple simultaneous tasks and projects effectively.
• High accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to nurture and maintain effective collaboration with coworkers, managers, and clients.
