Solution Architect

About the Role

This permanent Solution Architect position, based in Auckland, calls for a versatile professional skilled in both business and technology spheres. With a relatively small IT team in place, the organisation seeks a proactive, hands-on architect who can directly collaborate with stakeholders, shape the company's technological trajectory, and provide comprehensive architectural leadership. While this role currently has no direct reports, it offers opportunities for leadership advancement in the future.

Key Responsibilities

• Steer and develop solution architectures aligned with business objectives.
• Focus extensively on Data and AI initiatives within the organisation.
• Support and advance data governance frameworks, strategies, and directional planning.
• Ensure architectural solutions are consistent with business needs and long-term goals.
• Uphold stringent security and risk management practices across all data platforms.
• Serve as a trusted consultant to business stakeholders, consistently validating priorities and ensuring technology investments remain pertinent.

Technical Environment and Experience

• Expertise in Data and AI platforms.
• Knowledge of data governance and architectural principles.
• Familiarity with Snowflake technology.
• Experience with data warehousing solutions.
• Working knowledge of SharePoint and Power BI.
• Understanding of security and information management practices.
