Position Overview
Join Eagle Builders in Blackfalds, Alberta as a full-time Site Supervisor overseeing site activities year-round. This leadership role demands hands-on coordination and management to ensure seamless project operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily operations across multiple construction sites, coordinating trades and suppliers.
- Develop and maintain project timelines to ensure on-schedule completion.
- Manage subcontractors, deliveries, and site logistics efficiently.
- Promote safety, quality, and adherence to project specifications at all times.
- Regularly update Project Managers on progress and challenges.
- Proactively identify and resolve site issues before they affect the schedule.
- Maintain exhaustive and accurate documentation for all site activities.
- Interpret construction drawings and communicate necessary adjustments to teams.
- Facilitate meetings involving owners, tradespeople, and internal staff.
- Provide flexible site support including travel and availability beyond regular hours when necessary.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated leadership in managing crews and project workflows confidently.
- Highly organized with the capability to manage schedules, resources, and priorities seamlessly.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and issue resolution.
- Strong attention to detail ensuring consistent quality and accuracy.
- A sense of ownership for site outcomes and performance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to maintain effective information flow.
Eligibility and Requirements
- Passing a pre-employment assessment is mandatory.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license along with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Willingness to work away from home Monday through Friday, including some Saturdays, averaging 44-50 hours per week plus overtime.
- Regular travel expected across Western Canada.
- Physical capability to perform demanding tasks for extended durations.
- Proven prior experience in Site Supervisor roles within construction.
- Strong grasp of construction processes from initial layout through to finishing stages.
- Valid safety credentials such as LSE, First Aid, Fall Protection, and AWP certifications.
- Computer literacy with ability to quickly adapt to new software systems.
- Firm commitment to safety protocols and quality standards.
Additional Considerations
- Experience in precast concrete projects is highly valued.
- Hands-on knowledge across varied construction disciplines is advantageous.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Procore and schedule-building software such as MS Project.
