Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Agent to join our team for an exciting project in Cluny, Co. Sligo. This fully onsite role involves utilizing Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) techniques.

The Site Agent will be responsible for managing the operational aspects of large or complex construction projects under guidance from the Senior Site Agent. Leading the onsite team, the role emphasizes safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery, while providing direct supervision and mentorship to supervisory staff. Ensuring alignment with the project programme, commercial goals, and company standards is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily site operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and adherence to the project timeline.
  • Lead and mentor supervisory personnel to meet project objectives effectively.
  • Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards promoting a zero-incident culture.
  • Track progress relative to the project programme, ensuring weekly targets and milestones are met.
  • Coordinate site setup and ensure facilities are ready before the project launch.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships and collaborate to address issues affecting programme, costs, safety, or quality.
  • Maintain comprehensive site documentation including Temporary Works Registers, daily logs, quality records, and safety logs.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Knowledge of industrial relations and subcontractor management.
  • Ability to prioritize, make decisive decisions under pressure, and solve operational challenges onsite.
  • Thorough understanding of construction methods, trade standards, and regulatory codes.
  • Proven track record in programme management and delivering projects within budget and timeline.
  • Excellent communication skills to influence and coordinate among diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, environmental, and quality management practices.
  • Trade or technical background with extensive site management experience required.
  • Mandatory training certifications: Temporary works, excavation safety, working at heights, scaffolding, lifting and cranage operations, and other HSEQS training as per site health and safety plan.
  • Familiarity with BIM strategies and emerging construction technologies is advantageous.
  • Project management qualification or courses, and relevant degrees in construction or engineering are preferred but not mandatory.
