Job Overview

FedEx is seeking a dedicated Shunter Driver to be a vital part of our operations team in the Belfast Metropolitan Area. The role involves the safe and efficient movement of vehicles between parking bays and loading docks, fueling tasks, and occasional collection and delivery assignments. This position operates on a full-time, onsite basis, offering a salary of A331,491.20 per annum with full training and a benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely maneuver vehicles between parking and loading areas as well as fueling them when required.
• Perform daily checks on vehicles following established procedures.
• Promptly report any mechanical issues, accidents, breakdowns, or emergency situations according to company protocols.
• Ensure the safety and security of vehicles, equipment, and cargo through responsible actions.
• Learn and operate the vehicle wash equipment as directed.
• Undergo driving skills assessments if requested by Station Management.
• Adhere to company Health and Safety standards to minimize risk to self and others.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a full, clean driver's license including category C & E entitlement.
• Hold a valid digital tachograph card.
• Demonstrate a genuine commitment to excellent customer service.
• Exhibit strong communication abilities.

Work Schedule and Salary

The role requires working 40 hours per week with a yearly salary of A331,491.20.
