Job description
Position Overview
The Shift Leader role at The Luxury Collection in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, encompasses the installation, maintenance, and preventative servicing of tools, appliances, and equipment vital to facilities operations. The position also involves calibration of measuring instruments and operation of safety systems including fire pumps and sprinkler valves.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, service, and recommend replacement of equipment and tools required for smooth operations.
- Calibrate controls, gauges, and meters to ensure accuracy.
- Locate and operate all facility shut-off valves.
- Manage inventory, order parts and supplies, and maintain purchasing logs.
- Inspect and operate machinery, including power lifts, and complete essential safety checklists such as fire-pump and generator tests.
- Contribute to disaster response protocol development and attend to guest maintenance requests promptly.
- Assist management with staff recruitment, training, scheduling, evaluations, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching efforts.
- Adhere strictly to company, safety, and security guidelines; report hazards or incidents, and participate in safety training programs.
- Maintain professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Provide excellent guest service by welcoming guests and addressing their needs, including support for persons with disabilities.
- Foster positive working relationships and teamwork to achieve organizational goals.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Perform physical tasks including bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, standing or walking for extended periods, and moving on stairs or ramps.
- Carry out additional reasonable tasks assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Technical, Trade, or Vocational School degree required.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a relevant technical or facilities maintenance role.
- At least two years of supervisory experience.
- No specific licenses or certifications required.
