About the Role
As a Shift Leader at Panda Restaurant Group, you will play a crucial leadership role in supporting the management team to bring our mission to life — crafting food with passion, delivering service with heart, and fostering a welcoming ambiance with pride. You will be at the core of a dynamic, fast-moving work environment where restaurants serve as the foundation of our company’s success.
Key Responsibilities
- Create an inviting and energetic atmosphere for all guests.
- Assist with overseeing store operations and managing the team during your shift.
- Participate hands-on in preparing and cooking popular Panda menu items.
- Develop a broad skillset to further your personal growth and support team development.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least some high school education completed.
- Preferred: prior experience in operations management or similar roles.
- Acquisition of local food safety certifications (such as Food Handler certification) is required at the applicant’s expense.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
Work typically involves standing for extended periods, exposure to heat and steam in kitchen and counter areas, physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in environments with limited space and high noise levels. Employees must be able to operate kitchen tools including Chinese cook knives, maintain speed and accuracy in food preparation, communicate effectively, adapt to shifting priorities, and handle challenging situations professionally.
