Shift Incharge – Quick Commerce Dark Store

Role Overview

This position is for a Shift Incharge who will oversee day-to-day activity in a quick commerce dark store, ensuring that orders are processed accurately, on time, and in line with operating standards.

What You’ll Do

• Direct and support picker-packers, loaders, and other store staff throughout the shift.
• Make sure orders are picked, packed, and handed over to delivery partners within the required service timelines.
• Track key performance measures such as order turnaround time (O2A), picker output, and order accuracy.
• Distribute manpower according to incoming order volumes and operational priorities.
• Keep stock records accurate through routine checks, cycle counts, and proper movement of inventory.
• Work with the Store Manager on stock shortages, damaged goods, and other operational concerns.
• Maintain compliance with SOPs, food safety rules, hygiene practices, and workplace safety norms.
• Handle daily operational issues, including rider coordination and customer order escalations.
• Prepare shift summaries, attendance records, productivity logs, and incident reports.
• Coach, guide, and encourage team members so shift targets are met consistently.
• Enforce discipline and ensure company policies are followed during the shift.

Skills and Experience Needed

The role calls for strong leadership, effective communication, and practical problem-solving skills. Candidates should be familiar with warehouse or dark store operations, comfortable working in a high-pressure, fast-moving setting, and able to use basic computer tools along with warehouse management systems (WMS). A solid grasp of inventory handling and operational KPIs is also important. Prior experience as a Team Leader or Shift Incharge in a dark store is preferred.
