About the Role
Otis Elevator Company Saudi Arabia Ltd is seeking a Service Engineer to oversee field service operations in the Riyadh region. The position involves managing callbacks, preventive and reactive maintenance, repair, and modernization of elevator systems. The engineer will serve as a second-level technical support and perform safety audits to ensure all services comply with established Otis procedures and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide management with detailed insights and reports on operational performance, supporting decision-making through periodic and ad-hoc updates.
- Adhere strictly to departmental policies, standard operating procedures, and instructions to maintain controlled, consistent operations.
- Direct daily activities of the service team to achieve zero accidents, minimize callbacks, reduce labor and spare parts usage, and eliminate cancellations.
- Distribute tasks evenly among team members based on organizational objectives to ensure balanced workload and accountability.
- Conduct safety audits at client locations to guarantee maintenance activities align with Otis safety protocols and global standards, minimizing safety risks.
- Assess team performance metrics such as callback frequency, labor hours per unit, and material costs to identify areas for corrective action and improvement.
- Maintain strong relationships with employees and customers to maximize satisfaction and ensure service quality.
- Provide advanced technical support as a second line for complex issues.
- Monitor team utilization against plans to foster productivity.
- Support and coach junior staff at client sites, facilitating their skill development and operational efficiency.
- Offer formal and informal technical training sessions to enhance team competencies.
- Coordinate with Finance to report on site work stages promptly, ensuring timely invoicing and revenue collection as per contracts.
- Prepare manufacturing orders, material requests, and correction documents related to service operations.
- Maintain thorough records for equipment dispatch and transitional construction projects.
- Organize and oversee team activities to encourage self-management and continuous improvement.
- Provide coaching and feedback to support ongoing team member development.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in field operations within the vertical transportation industry.
- Preference given to Saudi nationals.
