Senior Software Engineer - Pega Specialist

Overview

Fasttek Global is seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer with extensive expertise in Pega PRPC development. This role requires hands-on technical leadership involving design, development, and coaching within an evolving project environment. The ideal candidate will have at least a decade of IT experience, including 8+ years in development, and specialize in Pega technology with a strong command over coding standards and application architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality, bug-free Pega solutions adhering to Guardrail scores between 90-97.
• Design robust class structures, application frameworks, and data models aligned with business needs.
• Lead the development of complex case management workflows, including Split Join and Spin Off processes.
• Create and manage access groups, work queues, and roles effectively within Pega applications.
• Translate business requirements into clear technical design and application builds.
• Develop and maintain dynamic UI controls and API integrations using Connect/Service APIs.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure the business architecture meets customer expectations.
• Employ UI/UX principles to advocate for end-user needs and guide product evolution.
• Plan and track project activities to meet deadlines meticulously.
• Create customer-centric research artifacts such as journey maps, empathy maps, personas, and storyboards.
• Communicate design requirements and specifications clearly to the project team.
• Build strong collaborative relationships with technical and functional teams to drive progress.
• Maintain and prioritize product backlog using Jira to facilitate the development process.
• Integrate AI technologies including GenAI connectors and leverage cloud functions on GCP, with preferred familiarity in AWS and S3.
• Utilize SQL and NoSQL databases efficiently for data querying tasks.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of IT experience, including at least 8 years in software development.
• Proficiency in Pega PRPC platform with recent experience using REST APIs.
• Expertise in coding in two programming languages or advanced proficiency in one language.
• Strong background in continuous integration/deployment, especially using Deployment Manager.
• Deep understanding of PEGA Case Management and complex workflow development.
• Experience in multi-channel digital messaging systems.
• Ability to guide and mentor junior developers and lead architectural design.
• Solid knowledge of API development, UI/UX design considerations, and best software engineering practices.
• Familiarity with cloud function services such as GCP, and ideally AWS infrastructure.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Excellent organization and communication skills to collaborate effectively and deliver quality outputs.
