About Us
The Workforce and Organisation Capability division at Central Queensland Health plays a critical role in managing the service's people resources. This division leads functions including attraction, retention, learning and development, performance management, discipline, change management, safety and well-being, and staff engagement. It consists of around 40 HR professionals who provide client-oriented, high-quality services throughout the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service.
Role Overview
- Provide leadership and support to Roster Support Officers through supervision, mentoring, coaching, and professional development.
- Enhance rostering processes to increase efficiency, ensure compliance, allocate resources accurately, and reduce redundant administrative tasks.
- Offer advanced support to line managers with rostering, resolve system issues in partnership with Corporate Enterprise Solutions, and maintain compliance standards.
- Develop team capability by identifying skills gaps, sharing expertise, and delivering training and upskilling sessions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve quality outcomes, provide policy and procedure advice, and effectively manage competing demands and strict deadlines.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive knowledge of electronic rostering systems; experience with Workbrain and/or myHR is highly preferred.
- Background in rostering or payroll management within large, complex organisations.
- Sound judgement in managing complex issues, problem analysis, and implementing viable solutions independently.
- Ability to identify training needs and contribute to resource development and learning opportunities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of delivering precise rostering advice and building relationships with stakeholders across all levels, especially during organisational changes.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive total remuneration up to $118,172 per annum based on:
- Hourly rate ranging from $47.41 to $52.23
- Employer superannuation contribution of 12.75%
- Leave loading of 17.5%
