Role Responsibilities

Depending on your specialization, your duties include:

• For Senior Army Engineers: Assure the operational readiness of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) by managing maintenance and engineering support for all military equipment.
• Lead and mentor engineering teams in overseeing the lifecycle management of equipment, supporting all army operations and training exercises.
• Gain exposure to an extensive range of military equipment and defense technologies at the national level.
• Develop skills in System Engineering and Defence Capability Management to maintain the Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Supportability (RAMS) for SAF’s advanced technology.
• For Senior Army Engineers specializing in Ammunition: Support SAF firepower readiness, including explosives, artillery shells, and guided missiles.
• Supervise lifecycle management of SAF firepower and engage with cutting-edge ammunition and guided missile technologies, including innovative supply chain practices.
• Participate in process redesign and modifications to enhance firepower capabilities.
• Conduct research on explosive safety and devise risk management strategies to safeguard soldiers handling munitions.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, or Engineering disciplines or equivalent qualifications.
• Demonstrated leadership skills combined with innovation and strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• A highly motivated professional with a proactive and positive attitude.
• Mid-career professionals with relevant experience may be appointed to senior military expert ranks based on expertise, qualifications, experience, and leadership assessments.
