Position Overview
This role is part of one of India's most strategic defence aviation programs focused on enhancing airborne surveillance and national security through cutting-edge aerospace innovation. The Senior Manager - Electrical Maintenance will engage with advanced engineering environments and mission-critical aerospace technology projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical automation and assembly line systems, particularly focusing on Siemens PLCs (S7 series) using TIA Portal, Structured Control Language (SCL) programming, HMI, SCADA, drives, and servo systems.
- Diagnose and resolve complex control system faults promptly, supporting system upgrades, logic changes, and automation enhancements.
- Possess strong technical knowledge of plant utilities such as high and low tension power systems, Ring Main Units (RMU), transformers, diesel generators, compressors, HVAC systems, and water treatment plants.
- Implement and drive structured maintenance practices, including scheduled and predictive maintenance, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM).
- Develop and enforce maintenance strategies to maximize equipment uptime and reliability through effective planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Ensure high operational availability of special purpose machines (SPMs), CNC machines, automated assembly lines, robotic systems, and PLC-controlled equipment alongside plant utilities like compressors, substations, and DG sets with an emphasis on zero breakdown and unplanned downtime.
- Conduct root cause analyses on critical equipment failures, apply corrective and preventive actions, and continuously enhance mean time between failures (MTBF) and mean time to repair (MTTR) metrics.
- Lead, mentor, and build capabilities of the maintenance engineering and technician teams fostering ownership, accountability, and safety culture.
- Enforce rigorous adherence to electrical safety standards and hazardous industry regulations ensuring effective earthing, interlocks, and machine safety protocols.
- Coordinate with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for advanced diagnostics, remote troubleshooting, and support CAPEX projects including technical assessments and commissioning.
Qualifications and Eligibility
- B.E. or B.Tech degree in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- 10 to 15 years of solid experience in electrical maintenance focused on CNC, PLC, and special purpose machines.
- Consistent academic performance with no less than specified percentages at high school, intermediate, and graduation levels, with all courses completed full time.
