Role Overview
The newly established full-time Senior Human Resources Advisor position, based on the Christchurch campus, serves in the People & Partnerships team. This role involves providing comprehensive HR expertise across the entire organization to promote effective leadership and enhance organizational performance.
The advisor will assist leadership by delivering specialized advice on diverse people matters, driving organisational change initiatives, handling employee relations within delegated authority, and contributing to strategic HR projects. Working closely with HR Business Partners, the role ensures consistent policy application, adherence to employment laws, and the fostering of leadership abilities to support a highly engaged and high-performing workforce.
Candidate Profile
- A relevant tertiary degree in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Business, or a related field
- Approximately 5 to 8 years of broad human resources advisory experience
- Experience in supporting organisational change and managing employee relations matters
- Proven ability to provide sound advice and strengthen leadership capabilities
- Track record of managing multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality output
- Thorough knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and relations processes
- Strong skills in employment relations and risk assessment
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building abilities
- Good judgement, problem-solving skills, and commercial insight
- Ability to adapt and collaborate in a dynamic work environment, demonstrating resilience, agility, ownership, and a focus on successful outcomes
Additional Advantages
