About the Role

Join Green Infrastructure Partners in Hamilton, ON and contribute to shaping the future by ensuring our projects run efficiently and effectively. The Scheduler will play a pivotal role in assisting both pursuit and operations teams with contract estimating and planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop project timelines, establish milestones, and review activities to align with project objectives.
  • Collaborate with project teams to create detailed bid and baseline schedules for multi-year projects using Primavera P6, ensuring resource allocation, constructability, integrity, and alignment with contractual commitments.
  • Advise site and interdisciplinary teams on optimal timing for work execution, considering seasonal and environmental constraints.
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts arising from interdisciplinary or team interactions.
  • Maintain forecasted schedules throughout project lifecycles, ensuring updates and integration with master schedules from external parties.
  • Review proposal schedules and support contract negotiations with relevant scheduling data.
  • Perform ongoing critical path analyses in partnership with Project Managers to foresee impacts, improve efficiencies, and monitor near-critical tasks.
  • Detect current and potential delays, assisting in mitigation and recovery strategies.
  • Monitor, review, and analyze schedule adherence during all project stages, addressing deviations and recommending corrective actions.
  • Evaluate subcontractor schedules, forecast completion dates, and report discrepancies to ensure feasibility.
  • Track and report variances in the critical path and overall schedule performance.
  • Support project schedule evaluations to prioritize problem areas in consultation with Project Managers.
  • Conduct regular progress meetings with site management to gather updates and discuss schedule changes and challenges.
  • Aggregate and interpret project data from internal and external sources for informed scheduling decisions.
  • Provide timely, comprehensive schedule updates, including trends and forecasts, for inclusion in project reports.
  • Examine contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project-relevant materials to guide scheduling.
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial and Engineering teams to supply scheduling information supporting claims management processes.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess an undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering, or possess equivalent relevant experience.
  • Have 2 to 4 years of experience as a Planner or Scheduler, preferably within the Transportation or Civil sectors; experience in roads and bridges is an asset.
  • Hold a valid G driver's license and have access to a personal vehicle.
  • Be willing to travel to job sites across Ontario.
  • Demonstrate a results-oriented attitude suited to dynamic work environments.
  • Showcase critical thinking and analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and resourcefulness in solving business challenges.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual base salary ranging from $40,000 to $65,000 depending on experience and other factors.
