The company is managed by four Directors who advanced through the ranks, fostering a culture of internal growth and promotion. Supervisors and a Quality Control Manager support daily operational oversight and quality maintenance. Job Role and Responsibilities
Scaffolders at Skill Scaffolding are tasked with assembling, adjusting, and dismantling scaffolding structures on construction and maintenance sites while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Their daily activities involve loading and unloading scaffold materials, assembling scaffold parts, securing frameworks, and carrying out visual inspections to confirm stability and adherence to guidelines. This role requires working at heights, following site-specific instructions, and close collaboration with supervisors, fellow scaffolders, and other site contractors to achieve project schedules. Maintaining tidy and safe work environments, correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and completing necessary site documentation are also key responsibilities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven ability to erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding safely, including experience with working at heights and handling scaffold elements.
- Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations and the correct application of PPE on construction sites.
- Capability to interpret basic scaffold drawings or instructions, alongside strong spatial awareness and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills to effectively follow supervisory guidance and coordinate with other tradespersons on site.
- Physical fitness and manual handling competence, with readiness to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
- Industry-recognized certifications such as CISRS cards or equivalent scaffolding qualifications, plus prior experience as a scaffolder or construction laborer, are highly advantageous.
