SAP SD Consultant - Permanent Role at Tier-1 MNC (Hybrid, Hyderabad)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP SD Consultant to join a leading Tier-1 multinational corporation on a permanent basis. This hybrid role, based in Hyderabad, involves designing, configuring, and enhancing SAP Sales and Distribution processes by leveraging AI-assisted development tools to expedite various phases such as requirement analysis, configuration, testing, and documentation. The position emphasizes delivering streamlined Order to Cash (O2C) solutions with integration of AI services to boost efficiency and productivity without engaging in deep AI development.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and optimize SAP SD modules including Order Management, Pricing and Conditions, Delivery and Shipment, Billing and Invoicing, Credit Management, and Returns & Refunds.
• Utilize AI copilots to draft functional specifications, validate pricing logic, automate test case creation, and accelerate documentation.
• Manage end-to-end implementation cycles: requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, SIT/UAT, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Integrate SAP SD with MM, FI, PP, WM/EWM, and external systems via APIs and middleware.
• Employ AI-enabled tools for process analysis, pricing diagnostics, impact assessments, test planning, and documentation automation.
• Incorporate pre-built AI functionalities such as automated exception detection, intelligent order classification, and smart issue summarization within SD workflows.
• Use large language model (LLM) assisted troubleshooting to reduce incident resolution time.
• Ensure compliance with organizational SDLC, audit controls, pricing governance, and regulatory standards.
• Conduct workshops and solution walkthroughs supported by AI insights with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with logistics, finance, supply chain, master data, and technical teams to align the O2C process.
• Provide reusable templates, testing packs, and best practices enhanced through AI accelerators.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD).
• Strong expertise in O2C processes including order creation, ATP, shipping, billing, credit checks, and pricing procedures.
• Experience with integration between SD and FI/MM modules and related cross-module dependencies.
• Knowledge of master data management involving customer, material, pricing, and credit data, plus familiarity with IDocs, outputs, and troubleshooting in SAP SD.
• Proficiency using AI-assisted copilots, automated documentation tools, and testing/analysis aids.
• Ability to integrate pre-built AI features into SAP SD workflows, understanding their responsible and commercial application.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in O2C contexts.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities with diverse stakeholders.
• A continuous learning mindset with comfort in using AI-augmented productivity tools.
• Educational background: Completion of 15 years of full-time education.

Preferred but Not Mandatory

• Certification in SAP SD for S/4HANA Sales.
• Experience with SAP Fiori applications related to Sales Order, Billing, and Pricing.
• Exposure to EDI/IDoc integrations, middleware platforms like CPI/Boomi, or CRM systems.
• Familiarity with automation testing methodologies and tools.
