About the Role
eMagine Solutions is conducting a confidential search for a Sales Director to represent a prominent European Food & Beverage brand operating in over 100 countries. The brand is rapidly expanding its presence in Saudi Arabia with a strategic partnership connected to the Public Investment Fund (PIF). This role offers a unique opportunity to take complete commercial leadership, influence at the board level, and build a lasting impact by shaping both strategy and execution to achieve growth at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Full ownership of commercial Profit & Loss across multiple channels and regions, including revenue, margin, market share, and execution excellence.
- Develop and implement a 3 to 5-year commercial strategy focusing on channel mix, route-to-market, distributor approach, and geographic expansion throughout GCC, MENA, and globally.
- Lead business scaling efforts including market entry, channel diversification, distributor network restructuring, and category growth initiatives.
- Create and mentor a senior leadership team comprising Channel Heads for Modern Trade, General Trade, Export, and HORECA, establishing clear goals, regular review cadence, and succession plans.
- Manage key strategic partnerships and commercial relationships at the highest level with national key accounts, master distributors, and international collaborators.
- Design pricing strategies and trade investment plans such as trade spending, rebates, and promotional activities to balance margin protection with growth funding.
- Collaborate at the executive level with Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to align commercial decisions across functions including working capital, on-time delivery, capacity planning, and portfolio management.
- Represent the company externally in engagements with retailers, distributors, regulatory authorities, and industry bodies as a senior commercial leader.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline; MBA is highly preferred.
- 12 to 15+ years of progressive commercial or sales leadership experience, particularly in FMCG or Food & Beverage sectors.
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years in Director or VP roles with comprehensive P&L responsibility.
- Demonstrated success in scaling multi-channel commercial organizations including Modern Trade, General Trade, HORECA, and Export sales, with experience in market entry or significant channel launches.
- Proven capacity to influence senior leadership teams and boards beyond traditional sales functions.
- Established networks with major GCC retailers, distributors, and trade channels.
- Experience managing senior leaders, such as heads or directors, as opposed to only individual contributors.
- Strong commercial and financial skills, including P&L oversight, evaluating trade-offs, and board-level reporting.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English languages is mandatory.
