Role Overview
The Safety Supervisor will oversee the enforcement, monitoring, and implementation of health and safety measures on construction sites in Saudi Arabia. The candidate must have a technical background in mechanical or electrical engineering alongside accredited safety certifications. Compliance with local Saudi regulations, international standards, and company HSE policies is paramount.
Primary Duties
- Oversee enforcement of health and safety procedures on site.
- Conduct regular site visits for safety inspections, audits, and risk evaluations.
- Ensure all activities comply with Saudi regulatory frameworks, project safety plans, and international health and safety standards.
- Supervise contractors and subcontractors to maintain safety compliance.
- Investigate accidents, near misses, and hazardous situations and initiate corrective measures.
- Provide safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training for on-site workers.
- Prepare and maintain safety documentation, reports, and records as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Possession of an accredited NASP (National Association of Safety Professionals) certificate plus membership card, or an OSHA 40-hour certification along with an OSHA membership card.
