About the Company
Majd Yanbu Industrial Company is a partnership between Elsewedy Cables and Alfanar Electrical Systems. The firm is establishing a cutting-edge copper rod production facility in Yanbu Industrial City with an annual capacity of 120,000 metric tons. As it ramps up to full operational status, prioritizing safety is paramount to the organization's strategy.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management frameworks and protocols that comply with OSHA guidelines, Saudi regulatory standards, and internal company policies.
- Execute thorough risk evaluations, conduct job hazard assessments, and review process hazards throughout plant operations.
- Oversee investigation of incidents by determining root causes and ensuring corrective measures are tracked and completed.
- Organize and conduct HSE training sessions targeting employees, contractors, and site visitors to promote safety awareness.
- Carry out routine safety inspections, compliance audits, and performance evaluations of all plant sections.
- Administer permit-to-work procedures including permits for hot work, confined spaces, lockout-tagout (LOTO), and working at heights.
- Compile and present HSE performance documentation, as well as collaborate during official inspections and certification processes.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field is mandatory.
- Possess between 3 to 6 years of demonstrable HSE experience within heavy industry or manufacturing environments.
- Extensive understanding of OSHA regulations and Saudi labor safety laws.
- Professional safety certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is strongly preferred.
- Proven skills in incident analysis and risk mitigation techniques.
- Excellent communication capabilities for reporting and effective training facilitation.
