Role Overview

At Soho House, the Runner is a crucial team member ensuring seamless and efficient coordination between kitchen and front-of-house services. This position involves timely delivery of food and drinks, maintaining tidy service areas, and supporting the waitstaff to elevate the members' dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Rapidly transport food and drinks from kitchen or bar to members' tables within the restaurant.
• Keep the working environment immaculately clean and organized.
• Take responsibility for serving an assigned section efficiently.
• Build rapport with members to offer personalized service.
• Ensure cutlery is polished and ready ahead of service requirements.
• Prepare table essentials in advance, such as lemon wraps, condiments, and butter portions.
• Carry out opening and closing duties including station setup and breakdown.
• Carefully handle and correctly store all service equipment after use.
• Attend joint front and back of house meetings to stay informed about menu changes, specials, and participate in daily tastings.

Candidate Profile

• Possess 2 to 3 years' experience in a similarly upscale dining environment.
• Strong food and beverage expertise, including knowledge of wine service.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork capability, and a proactive work approach.
• Professional, confident, and polished presentation.
• Exceptional communication and effective organizational skills.
• Experience with POS systems and reservation management software.
