Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Retail Store Manager to lead the Gala Store in Ballinhassig, Cork. This leadership role involves ensuring optimal daily operations with high standards, excellent store performance, and overall operational efficiency. The successful candidate will engage customers to foster brand loyalty and repeat visits, while adhering to company policies covering health and safety, loss prevention, and cash handling. The Retail Store Manager will supervise a team of about 15 associates, demonstrating leadership that empowers the team and drives sales, inventory management, and smooth store operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and motivate the in-store team to meet individual and collective objectives.
• Perform regular performance evaluations and give constructive feedback to enhance team capabilities.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, and continued professional development of staff members.
• Provide outstanding customer service by understanding customer needs, resolving complaints, and delivering product insights.
• Formulate and apply sales plans to boost revenue and fulfill store sales goals.
• Monitor and adapt sales tactics to align with corporate targets.
• Oversee budget management, cost control, and authorize payroll for head office processing.
• Maximise profitability through savvy pricing, promotions, and seasonal marketing campaigns.
• Maintain a clean, well-organized, fully stocked, and visually attractive store environment.
• Analyze sales reports and present findings to management for decision-making support.
• Control inventory levels, monitor stock, and reorder goods as needed.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Retail Manager or Supervisor within a comparable retail context.
• Strong leadership skills with proven ability to inspire and manage a team effectively.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in analyzing sales data to enhance store operations.
• Familiar with retail management software, point-of-sale systems, and inventory controls.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving acumen, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends and public holidays.

Job Details

• Approximate weekly working hours: 40 hours.
• Shift schedule: 5 days per week out of 7.
• Payment frequency: weekly.
