Reset Specialist

Role overview

This is an entry-level, hourly field role focused on supporting PepsiCo’s sales and merchandising work in small retail outlets such as convenience stores, gas stations, small grocery shops, and drug stores. The main purpose of the job is to reset cold vaults and gondola space so that products and displays follow PepsiCo merchandising requirements and each customer’s approved planogram.

The position also includes other support work as needed by the manager, which may involve delivering racks and point-of-sale materials, handling point-of-sale storage, distributing mail, and similar tasks. Work may take place in a range of weather and climate conditions.

Primary responsibilities

You will be expected to reorganize shelves, coolers, and other product display areas to match merchandising standards and customer agreements. Keeping stock areas tidy and orderly is also a key part of the role. In addition, you will place and maintain point-of-purchase materials in each account, build strong working relationships with store contacts and other internal teams, and provide attentive customer service.

Physical demands

This job involves repeated lifting, loading, pushing, and pulling of product cases weighing 20 to 45 pounds during an 8 to 10 hour shift. It also requires frequent bending, reaching, and squatting in order to move and position merchandise. Experience with forklifts is useful, though not mandatory.

Required qualifications

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, hold a high school diploma or GED, pass a background check, and have a valid U.S. driver’s license along with proof of insurance. A personal vehicle is required to travel between multiple store locations during the shift. If the position requires it, a forklift test may also need to be completed.

Helpful background

Experience in retail or grocery environments is beneficial, especially if you are familiar with store operations, backroom organization, inventory handling, shelf stocking, product rotation, and keeping displays clean and appealing. Experience dealing with customer questions or complaints, as well as using moving equipment such as forklifts or hand trucks/dollies, is also valuable.

Compensation and notes

The pay rate for this position is $30.25 per hour. If a personal vehicle is used for a sales route, mileage reimbursement is provided.
