Research Associate

Role overview

This position is for a Research Associate in Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad. The role focuses on laboratory testing, analytical method transfer, equipment upkeep, sample handling, documentation in LIMS, and strong adherence to safety and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine laboratory tests and experiments on samples using instruments and analytical techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, titration, and other related methods.
• Support transfer of analytical methods to other sites.
• Record analysed results in LIMS and share them with the supervisor for review and validation.
• Identify unusual results or deviations, report them to the relevant contact, and proactively inform the lab in charge about abnormal samples or missing routine samples as per schedule.
• Help with calibration, validation, and maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment so results remain reliable.
• Dispose of leftover samples safely in line with laboratory procedures.
• Inspect incoming routine samples and route them to the appropriate laboratory sections based on the analysis required.
• Follow workplace safety requirements, audit expectations, and compliance guidelines to protect both people and assets.
• Handle hazardous substances and chemicals carefully and dispose of them according to approved protocols.
• Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and laboratory procedures, and ensure all work meets those requirements.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the Group Leader.

Experience

0 to 2 years of relevant work experience.

Education

Master's degree in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry.
