Rental Agent

Job Overview

We are seeking a Rental Agent to join the team at our Stansted Depot within the Vehicle Hire Division. This role involves supporting a growing fleet rental operation that serves a diverse client base including blue-chip companies, public entities, and medium enterprises. The Rental Agent acts as the primary point of contact for clients and teammates, fostering excellent customer relations and driving business growth by recommending suitable rental solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately entering bookings into systems and managing relevant paperwork distribution and collection.
• Developing new business and nurturing existing customer relationships through professional communication by phone and email.
• Addressing client inquiries by providing product information, support, and advice over calls.
• Handling all paperwork related to vehicle transfers and conducting thorough yard checks.
• Maintaining professional, face-to-face client interactions ensuring hospitality and high service standards on-site.
• Calculating rental estimates, proactively pursuing quotations, and following up on leads.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience in a busy agent role, preferably within vehicle hire or related sector.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace, able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate completion of inspections and administrative tasks.
• Excellent communication skills for clear, friendly interactions even during peak times.
• Flexibility to work shift rotations covering branch hours to maintain continual service.
• Possession of a valid driving license with at least one year of driving experience.
