Quality Officer - Accreditation & Regulatory Improvement

Job Overview

This role is responsible for implementing and managing systems that ensure continual readiness of quality management and quality enhancement initiatives under managerial direction. It guarantees that quality data and performance management programs are efficiently administered to enhance patient safety and outcomes. The position involves coordinating facility-wide efforts to comply with regulatory and accreditation standards, ensuring all operational processes related to these initiatives are effectively executed.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead the creation, execution, and assessment of the facility's comprehensive quality improvement program in collaboration with various departments.
• Work closely with all departments and practices to embed quality and safety priorities.
• Identify and recommend enhancements based on hospital-wide performance data or as directed by senior leadership.
• Develop and provide tools and resources to support quality development initiatives.
• Participate in departmental feedback sessions to propose solutions.
• Support departments in managing project timelines and coordinate necessary internal assistance.
• Identify appropriate quality improvement methodologies and principles, guided by management directives.
• Facilitate and support ongoing quality team activities.
• Maintain all quality management documentation, case files, and correspondence securely and confidentially in an organized way.
• Organize committees or taskforces related to quality improvement and ensure implementation and evaluation of their recommendations.
• Coordinate the drafting and execution of facility-wide policies and procedures that guide service delivery, under manager supervision.
• Serve as liaison with accreditation organizations for program implementation.

Key Accountabilities

• Oversee reliable data collection, validation, and analysis processes to improve care delivery efficiency.
• Develop and manage project timelines ensuring their successful achievement.
• Monitor the progress of action plans to ensure issues are resolved and follow-ups are completed.
• Ensure all documentation complies with formatting and data validation standards.
• Escalate any encountered challenges to the Manager or Senior Quality Officer.
• Ensure the adoption and execution of quality and safety strategies and priorities.

Compliance Guidelines

Adhere consistently to all SSMC facility policies, practices, and regulatory mandates. Maintain all licensures, certifications, and mandatory trainings within stipulated deadlines. Uphold confidentiality of information received or exchanged, according to facility guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience

• Required: A bachelor's degree or equivalent in quality management, performance management, clinical practice, or related field.
• Preferred: Master's degree or equivalent in a similar discipline.
• Experience: 2 to 6 years of relevant experience is mandatory, preferably with exposure to large healthcare institutions.
