Quality Manager - Meat and Perishables

Role Overview

As a Quality Manager at Amazon Now in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality standards of perishable products, including meat, seafood, fruits, vegetables, and eggs, at Amazon's Local Picking Centers (LPC), spokes (UFF-FCs), and vendor locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect inbound perishable items for quality and identify damaged or defective goods.
• Reject unsuitable items back to vendors and record details by item, vendor, and quantity.
• Conduct audits on quality during the picking and packing processes carried out by LPC associates.
• Monitor adherence to packaging standards during packing to ensure product safety and quality.
• Perform weekly audits of storage bins and communicate comprehensive reports daily and weekly to relevant stakeholders.
• Train DC and spoke associates on quality standards, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and proper packaging techniques.

About the Team

The P3 Quality team plays a pivotal role in maintaining and exceeding the quality benchmarks for Amazon Fresh's meat, seafood, produce, and other perishable categories, which are key differentiators for Amazon Fresh customers.

Qualification Requirements

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and applications.

Preferred Experience

• Effective verbal and written communication skills with senior management and customers.
