Qualitative Project Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Qualitative Project Manager in the United States to lead qualitative research projects with a focus on healthcare and life sciences. You will be responsible for overseeing projects from inception to delivery, coordinating among clients, healthcare professionals, vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful outcomes. This role demands strong project management capabilities, attention to detail, and a passion for producing impactful insights in a dynamic global setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead qualitative research initiatives throughout their entire lifecycle, managing client communications, partner relations, recruitment of healthcare participants, and project completion.
• Supervise execution of methodologies such as telephone depth interviews, focus groups, in-person and online qualitative interviews.
• Handle respondent screening, scheduling, confirmations, and ensure preparation aligns with project needs.
• Track fieldwork progress, address challenges like participant no-shows or last-minute alterations swiftly, and maintain project timelines.
• Set up and test surveys and screeners, monitor recruitment metrics, manage participant incentives, and assist with project closing, auditing, and invoicing duties.
• Facilitate project kickoff meetings to align all stakeholders on objectives, timelines, and responsibilities.
• Provide consistent reports on recruitment status, risks, project progress, and suggest improvements.
• Proactively spot potential field issues and collaborate with sales and operations teams to resolve them effectively.
• Manage vendor relationships both domestically and internationally ensuring communication fluidity and timely issue resolution.
• Oversee project budgets and profitability by monitoring costs and resource allocation efficiency.
• Support and mentor other project management team members by sharing knowledge and offering guidance when needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
• 2 to 3 years managing market research projects, ideally within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences sectors.
• Strong experience or preference in qualitative research methods.
• Excellent project management skills with the capacity to handle multiple research projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and adaptability to shifting deadlines and requirements.
• Proactive analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with cross-functional global teams.
• Experience managing external vendors, participants, and stakeholders through different research phases.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Quick to learn new technologies and project management tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication capabilities in English.
• Knowledge or willingness to develop skills in quantitative research project management is advantageous.
• Availability to operate within U.S. time zones.
