Overview

Join Chevron Traffic Management in Telford as a qualified Low Speed Traffic Management Operative. This role offers guaranteed 48 hours per week plus overtime, with flexibility required for evenings, nights, weekends, and potential travel during peak periods. Operatives may also be included in the on-call rota, especially if a company van is available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement road safety measures including temporary road closures, diversion routes, and pedestrian walkways.
  • Set up equipment such as cones, signage, traffic lights, and barriers to maintain safety during roadworks.
  • Mentor and support new trainees, providing guidance as they learn the trade.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and be available for varied shift patterns including nights and weekends.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Hold relevant certifications such as M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, or SLG Unit 2 Lantra qualifications or higher.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Chapter 8 traffic management regulations.
  • Possess a full driving licence with no more than six points; past driving bans must have expired at least five years prior.
  • Be willing to undergo and pass drug and alcohol screening and any required medical assessments.
  • Exhibit a positive, adaptable attitude with strong attention to detail.
  • Flexible to work varied shifts including weekends, nights, and travel as needed.
  • Sign a training agreement for traffic management training if applicable.
