QC Inspector (Piping)

About the Role

Airswift, an international workforce solutions provider serving energy, process, and infrastructure sectors globally, is hiring a QC Inspector specialized in piping to operate in Doha, Qatar with a notable Oil & Gas company.

Mandatory Qualifications and Certifications

• Possession of a Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Materials Engineering degree; alternatively, a technical diploma with relevant quality control experience in a multi-disciplinary construction setting.
• Formal QC training and affiliation with recognized professional institutions are preferred.
• Essential certifications include CSWIP 3.2 or AWS-SCWI Senior Welding Inspector and NDT Level-II (ASNT, ISO, etc.).
• Possession of BGAS Grade-2 or NACE Level-2 Painting Inspector certification is advantageous.
• Other equivalent certifications from globally acknowledged bodies are also acceptable.

Experience Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience for degree holders and 15 years for diploma holders in similar roles within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Experience in the GCC region is beneficial.
• Hands-on expertise in storage tanks, piping, pipeline welding inspection, and testing, along with installation of static and rotating equipment, is necessary.
• Comprehensive knowledge of quality control processes and testing protocols related to major oil & gas and petrochemical construction projects is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex quality control inspections related to piping and associated construction activities.
• Collaborate effectively with contractors and multidisciplinary teams across diverse cultural environments.
• Ensure compliance with established quality standards and project specifications.

Additional Information

Duties are varied and complex, requiring strong interpersonal skills and adaptability to a multicultural work environment. The position is on a contract basis and onsite in Doha, Qatar.
