Overview
This role is offered through a partner organization located in Germany, seeking a QA Engineer specializing in Automation and Resilience testing within a complex, data-driven software setting. The position focuses on ownership of automation frameworks and resilience assessments to ensure platform robustness, scalability, and deployment confidence.
Role Summary
The ideal candidate will extend beyond conventional QA responsibilities by embedding quality engineering principles that anticipate and prevent software issues before they affect users. The position requires close collaboration with development and product teams throughout the software delivery lifecycle to embed a quality-focused culture.
Core Responsibilities
- Create, deploy, and maintain extensive End-to-End automated testing suites simulating realistic enterprise processes.
- Develop resilience and stability testing methodologies to assess system performance under heavy load, stress, and fault conditions.
- Seamlessly integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable swift and accurate feedback on new code iterations.
- Design and execute API and integration testing to verify data accuracy across distributed systems.
- Work with engineering teams to debug production issues, replicate defects, and expand automated regression coverage.
- Detect and resolve flaky or unstable tests to reinforce trust in automation outcomes.
- Collaborate early with developers and product managers to formulate optimal testing strategies.
- Utilize AI-enabled tools and contemporary development aids to enhance test creation, debugging, and test data synthesis.
- Author clean, maintainable test code, participate in peer review processes, and contribute to improving test architecture.
- Monitor QA metrics such as execution durations, coverage statistics, and pass rates to continuously refine testing practices.
Candidate Requirements
- Documented experience as an Automation QA Engineer, SDET, or comparable role in cloud-native SaaS or distributed software platforms.
- Hands-on expertise with automation frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
- Strong command of API testing, SQL querying, and data validation methodologies.
- Deep understanding of software quality concepts with a commitment to uncovering subtle issues pre-production.
- Familiarity with cloud environments including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes alongside version control platforms such as GitHub.
- Capacity to architect scalable automation solutions and influence testing framework design.
- Proactive and critical thinker who challenges assumptions, anticipates potential risks, and champions quality throughout development phases.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, capable of clearly articulating complex technical information.
