Role Overview

We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team at the MEDITE MDF Facility located in Clonmel, County Tipperary, Ireland. The role involves managing a diverse array of projects on site, guiding them from initiation through design, procurement, execution, and project closeout.

Key Responsibilities

• Guarantee that projects meet all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards.
• Ensure compliance of project designs with statutory and regulatory norms including CSA, mechanical, electrical, and automation directives such as Machinery Directives, PED, ATEX, and CE.
• Define the project scope of work clearly.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders throughout project phases.
• Lead and direct project teams with strong leadership and innovative problem-solving.
• Manage all phases of projects ensuring smooth operations daily.
• Create technical drawings, design schematics, and plans aligned with project needs.
• Plan and allocate resources efficiently.
• Formulate detailed project plans and control procurement processes.
• Estimate project budgets and costs accurately and prepare tender documentation.
• Oversee project close-out ensuring documentation is complete, current, and properly archived.
• Ensure seamless handover post-completion covering safety, training, communication, drawings, as-built documents, operation and maintenance manuals, and the technical file.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of a Level 7 FETAC Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• At least five years of relevant project management or engineering experience within large manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Familiarity with CAD, drafting, or modeling tools is advantageous.
• Experience using Microsoft Project or similar project management software.
• Demonstrated skill in prioritizing and efficiently completing tasks within limited timeframes.
• Established commitment to continuous professional development (CPD).
• Strong technical report writing capabilities.
• Basic budgeting and cost management skills.
• High motivation and dedication to best practices and continuous process improvement.
