Production Supervisor - Evening Shift

Job Overview

A Production Supervisor is needed to oversee the evening shift at a Galway-based electronics manufacturing company. This role includes full responsibility for managing production, quality, health and safety, and facility issues during the designated shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the lead contact for all operational topics during the evening shift, organizing and scheduling team tasks daily.
• Supervise manufacturing staff to ensure efficient workflow and product output.
• Communicate regularly with management and support teams regarding production status, priority tasks, and challenges.
• Handle employee relations and queries following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a high-performance, motivated production workforce.
• Ensure all team members complete required training and maintain detailed training records.
• Promote cross-training within production areas to enhance team versatility and coverage.
• Develop direct reports through training, performance evaluation, feedback (verbal and written), disciplinary measures as needed, and conduct formal performance reviews.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a Level 7 qualification in a relevant field.
• Have 4 to 5 years of experience in production supervision.
• Proven leadership skills with ability to effectively manage teams and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience conducting disciplinary procedures and performance review meetings.
• Knowledge of electronics or cable assembly processes is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills capable of engaging with all organizational levels.
