Production Operator

Job Overview

The Production Operator will be responsible for ensuring efficient and consistent operations in the production process within the manufacturing environment. This role focuses on maintaining safety, quality, and productivity by following work instructions and collaborating with relevant teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Confirm the availability of all necessary documents such as Job Flow Tickets (JFT), Production Control Cards (PCC), and drawings before starting a new job to reduce downtime and maintain production standards.
• Operate machinery in accordance with provided work instructions to guarantee safe and efficient product runs.
• Diagnose operational issues and seek technical support when required to minimize production delays and improve overall efficiency.
• Inspect winding samples personally and submit them for Team Leader approval before sending to Quality Control (QC) for inspection, ensuring quality adherence at startup.
• Perform routine quality assessments and provide product samples to QC for ongoing inspection to maintain consistent product quality.
• Report any defects found in product quality to QC and the Team Leader promptly for resolution.
• Complete Repair Requests, obtain Team Leader approval, forward to Maintenance for repairs, and verify repair outcomes once completed.
• Delegate tasks to Helpers and Skilled Helpers to ensure smooth operational flow and uphold 5S housekeeping standards around machines and work areas.
• Verify and sign product and pallet labels to certify correct packing methods are followed.
• Accurately fill out Production Reports documenting all production activities, enter relevant data into the ERP system, and submit reports to the Team Leader for review and approval by shift end.
• Prepare Process Control Cards for new orders and forward them to the Team Leader or Production Engineers for approval to maintain process consistency.
• Label leftover materials and mixed formulations correctly before returning them to the warehouse or material feeding and mixing areas.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) on all assigned machines and report discrepancies to supervisors or team leaders.
