Key Responsibilities

• Operate plant equipment and processes safely, efficiently, and effectively in support of business operations.
• Perform tasks such as dispensing, thinning/blending, equipment setup, product filling and packaging, loading/unloading finished goods, and coordinating warehouse receiving/dispatch, including weighbridge system interaction with drivers.
• Operate mobile plant equipment like forklifts on-site as needed.
• Conduct plant inspections, respond to alarms, carry out troubleshooting and first-level maintenance on pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and related machinery.
• Participate in shift work to align with business volume demands.
• Comply with Health & Safety and Environmental standards and meet regulatory documentation requirements while executing tasks.

Candidate Profile

• Adaptable to changing conditions and capable of overcoming technical and operational challenges.
• Capable of working independently within small teams with minimal supervision.
• Strong team player with good communication skills, contributing to achieving demanding goals.

• Flexible with shift schedules if required.
• High professional work ethic with eagerness to learn and develop as an operator.

Experience and Skills Required

• Minimum five years’ experience as an operator handling complex processes.
• Familiarity with GMP environments is desirable.
• Ability to record and analyze process data to guide decision-making.
• Experience in writing or revising SOPs and training materials is preferred.
• Background in process development or commissioning new plant operations where flexibility and adaptability are crucial.
• Experience handling hazardous chemicals responsibly.
• Knowledge of safe systems of work, including permits.
• Competent in using hand tools and performing basic maintenance tasks.
• Involvement in continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, root cause analysis (FMEA, Fishbone diagrams, 5 Whys), is advantageous.
