Job description
Position Overview
This role supports leadership within Fresh departments by overseeing departmental procedures, assisting with problem resolution, and developing team members through coaching and training. It ensures exceptional customer service while guaranteeing task completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver friendly and helpful customer service by greeting customers warmly, promoting products, assisting with locating items, facilitating purchase decisions, addressing customer concerns, and escalating issues appropriately.
- Provide direction and coordinate task completion based on priorities set by the Fresh Coach and Store Management, including delegating and tracking daily Customer Availability activities.
- Evaluate the overall presentation and condition of Fresh departments, identify areas needing improvement, and implement merchandising display updates as necessary.
- Maintain strong communication with associates; lead daily team huddles each shift to share updates, set objectives, and monitor team productivity.
- Collaborate with the People Lead to review finalized schedules.
- Assign associates across store areas to ensure coverage and task completion.
- Conduct tours of assigned areas with the Coach and team to pinpoint training needs, develop associates through instruction and feedback.
- Contribute to a safe, clean, and hazard-free workplace by following company policies, completing safety logs, and ensuring displays and fixtures are safe and orderly.
- Complete administrative tasks via GTA/Workday and provide support to management as required.
- Work with the Coach and People Lead to support performance management, growth discussions, recruiting, and onboarding of new associates.
Compensation
The minimum hourly wage for this position begins at $19.25 CAD.
