Role Overview
Step into a vital role within our Produce Department by offering exceptional customer service and supporting all facets of produce operations. This position includes stepping in to supervise the team in the absence of the Produce Manager and fostering a positive culture of employee development and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver courteous and professional assistance to customers tailored to their needs.
- Lead and oversee produce staff when the Manager is unavailable.
- Encourage a workplace environment focused on coaching and growth for team members.
- Accurately fulfill customer orders within the produce section.
- Manage the receiving and proper handling of produce deliveries.
- Conduct daily preparation tasks to maintain freshness and presentation of produce.
- Arrange and merchandise the produce area effectively to attract customers.
- Apply SMART retailing principles specific to the Atlantic region.
- Conform to rigorous sanitation protocols to guarantee department cleanliness.
- Follow and execute all company standards and administrative responsibilities as needed.
Candidate Qualifications
- Ability to multitask with a strong work ethic operating independently in a fast-moving environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities surpassing average expectations.
- Completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- At least 12 months of relevant work experience in a similar role.
