Your Impact
We are looking for an experienced Principal or Lead to Senior-level Secondary Engineer to join our New Zealand team. In this position, you will assist a diverse client base, including utilities, independent power producers, industrial facilities, and government agencies. You will guide these clients through the complexities involved in modern power systems and support the move toward more robust and sustainable energy infrastructures. This role offers a meaningful opportunity for career growth and to make a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and supervise secondary electrical systems for distribution and transmission networks ranging from 22kV to 220kV, including conducting design evaluations.
- Create detailed secondary engineering documents such as relay and control panel layouts, schematics, operational diagrams, block diagrams, drawings, and material lists.
- Lead multidisciplinary projects while ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- Mentor junior engineers and enhance our Substation Engineering capabilities.
- Serve as a trusted technical consultant to clients and actively participate in expanding business opportunities across different regions.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in High Voltage Secondary Electrical Engineering.
- Proficient with relay software tools like Enervista, PCM600, Digsi, and CAD software including MicroStation and AutoCAD.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across various locations.
- Dedication to continuous learning and keeping up with industry trends and technical advancements.
- Current CPEng and CMEngNZ certifications.
