Job Overview

The role of Principal Operations Engineer entails analyzing internal and external business challenges and formulating best practice recommendations within the Field Engineering domain. This position requires independent work with minimal supervision, leading specialized teams or projects, and demonstrating deep expertise in Field Engineering alongside comprehensive understanding of the discipline across the Engineering function.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of field and senior field engineers ensuring timely and efficient installation project execution.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance ensuring adherence to industry standards and optimized engineering practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments including procurement, construction, and installation to ensure integration of engineering tasks.
• Conduct on-site inspections regularly to monitor project progress, troubleshoot technical issues, and uphold quality standards.
• Innovate engineering solutions aligning with project specs, client needs, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage design and optimization of engineering systems to guarantee feasibility, safety, and efficiency of deliverables.
• Perform detailed technical reviews and recommend strategies to improve project outcomes and reduce risk.
• Adopt cutting-edge industry practices and emerging technologies to enhance engineering processes continuously.
• Maintain strong client relationships, acting as primary technical liaison throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work closely with clients to understand their requirements, delivering expert technical advice and solutions.

Qualifications & Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
• 10 to 14 years of relevant oil and gas industry experience with major contractors or consultancy firms.
• Proven involvement in EPCI sector focusing on engineering functions.
• Experience with offshore projects is highly advantageous.
• Strong command of engineering software tools and standard methodologies.
• Excellent leadership qualities emphasizing team motivation and project goal attainment.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and proactive challenge resolution.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relations with clients and stakeholders.
• Capability to prioritize multiple demanding tasks and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD software.
