Overview

This role involves comprehensive dishwashing duties and upholding the cleanliness of the kitchen environment at Whole Foods Market, West Vancouver. Key Responsibilities

• Perform washing, rinsing, and sanitizing of dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small kitchenware.
• Ensure cleanliness of kitchen floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelving areas.
• Assist in receiving and organizing kitchen deliveries, including proper storage and rotation of stock.
• Arrive punctually, dressed appropriately, ready to work scheduled shifts and participate in required training and meetings.
• Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing customer needs and demonstrating suggestive selling techniques; manage phone and page requests courteously.
• Maximize sales by properly prepping, stocking, rotating, and merchandising products in accordance with store procedures.
• Follow and enforce compliance with health and sanitation regulations, weights and measures standards, and safe work practices.
• Maintain a clean and safe work and shopping environment including regular equipment upkeep aligned with cleanliness standards.
• Complete assigned opening, mid, and closing duties; ensure signs and pricing are accurate; immediately report any safety hazards or violations.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.

Experience

No previous retail experience is required for this position.

Physical and Working Conditions

• Ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds.
• Stand or walk for 6 to 8 hours during an 8-hour workday.
• Use of hands for grasping, manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Perform motions such as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
• Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
• Work in environments ranging from freezing temperatures (<32°F), refrigeration (32-40°F), to heat (>90°F).
• Capability to work under both wet and dry conditions.
• Flexible scheduling availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficient use of tools like knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other machinery.
• Occasional use of ladders may be necessary.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage ranges from $18.50 to $25.00 depending on experience.
