Power BI Dashboard Support Analyst

About the Role

The position of Power BI Dashboard Support Analyst within BNP Paribas's ITG - FRESH department focuses on the PERSEUS platform (Tagetik), which consolidates BNP Paribas Group's financial figures. The role primarily involves publishing, quality assurance, release coordination, minor modification management, and daily user support to ensure that business users receive accurate and timely insights while maintaining the DANAE Power BI ecosystem's operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy new and updated Power BI reports to the Power BI Service in accordance with established naming, security, and documentation guidelines.
• Perform thorough pre-release validations including data refreshes, visual consistency, access control, and obtain approval through collaboration with data owners.
• Manage scheduled releases and urgent fixes in coordination with development and BI teams, including tracking versioning and deployment schedules.
• Record, evaluate, and prioritize minor change requests such as visual tweaks, filter additions, and layout modifications, ensuring prompt execution.
• Conduct routine system health assessments involving data refresh monitoring, performance metrics, and usage analytics; flagging irregularities as necessary.
• Maintain a comprehensive dashboard catalogue, metadata records, and change logs to meet audit and compliance standards.
• Act as the first point of contact for dashboard users by resolving access issues, addressing functional questions, and supporting self-service capabilities.
• Create and regularly update user manuals and guides.
• Collect feedback from stakeholders, analyze usage data, and suggest improvements to enhance user experience, performance, and data integrity.
• Stay informed about the latest Power BI updates, visual features, and industry best practices.

Additional Contributions

• Work alongside the Product Owner to prioritize and plan development efforts to align with business goals.
• Engage actively in Agile methodologies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective sessions.
• Adhere strictly to IT security policies and best practices related to application development and operations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or an MBA equivalent.
• Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Dataflows.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, data modeling, DAX, and Power Query (M).
• Experience with release management and thorough documentation.
• Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Skilled in stakeholder management and proactive problem-solving.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
